In the first quarter of 2023, the top travel and local apps in Chile demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Viajes Falabella saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 26K in mid-February. The app maintained a consistent upward trend in weekly active users, starting the quarter with 21K and reaching around 58K by the end of March.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a decline in weekly downloads over the quarter, starting at approximately 19.5K and dropping to just under 10K by the end of March. Despite this, the app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 200K throughout the quarter.

Airbnb had a notable decrease in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with about 18.5K and ending with around 6.5K. The weekly active users for Airbnb also showed a slight decline, from approximately 148K at the start of January to around 107K at the end of March.

Despegar: vuelos y hoteles showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 11K in mid-March. The app’s weekly active users also followed an upward trend, starting at around 74K and reaching up to 94K by the end of the quarter.

SKY Airline experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, starting the quarter with around 11K and ending with about 6.3K. The app’s weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight decline from approximately 47K at the beginning of January to around 42K by the end of March.
